I know this might be saying a lot, but I honestly don’t think the writers are that stupid.
Not that I think Klaus is above rape but if they did that it would honestly be out of character to me considering the entire point of Klaroline began and has been about Klaus trying to win Caroline on his own terms as himself. It’s been about keeping her away from Tyler and getting her to realize that in the long run, Mystic Falls and its people will mean nothing to her after she’s lived so long. I mean yeah, of course he’s ignoring the fact that Tyler is immortal too but lol that’s just Klaus and his ego.
Anyways the most I see Klaus doing is playfully enjoying the fact that she doesn’t know it’s him and maybe a little intimacy. Also, Caroline should be suspicious given Tyler is supposed to dead.
I just really don’t see Klaus repeatedly making advances on her in an attempt to screw her because it legitimately makes no sense to me. I think he’d much rather fuck her in his own body, but hey just my two cents.

this screencap is perhaps a little too underrated. I mean look, she’s actually standing with him, looking at him and listening to what he’s saying…obviously they’d be talking as Joseph and Candice because they’re not primarily in the scene but they most certainly knew they were going to be in the background so they did have to do some acting…therefore I’m going with: this is completely Klaroline.
